Web Design
This project was done while I was working for the College of Education at Michigan State University. I was asked to create a website from a PowerPoint presentation. The main challenges here were that the contact was not in a web friendly format and that there was no artistic direction of the site from the beginning. I believe that upon completion of this project the site conveyed the message that was in the PowerPoint presentation but in a web friendly environment. This website was mentioned in an educational magazine and is linked at the College of Education homepage.
Launch into Teaching was another project done for the College of Education at Michigan State University. It started out as an update to an older site and turned into a total redesign. I worked with a graphic designer and was presented with a mockup that needed to be transferred to the web.
JustinandJulie.net was a project designed for a wedding website. It incorporated graphic design and needed to be very user friendly. The resulting website met the criteria of both parties involved and was helpful in their wedding preparations.
The redesign of the College of Education’s website was a collaboration effort between me, several other web designers, and a graphic designer at the College of Education at Michigan State University. Once the initial mockup was created I was put in charge of creating Dreamweaver templates for the many different areas of the site. I was also in charge of creating and maintaining the navigation for the site. This site was then used as a template site for several other departments within the College of Education and I redesigned and edited the templates along with the navigation for those sites as well.
The Phd Program at the College of Education was getting a major redesign for its website. Along with a fellow web designer I was in charge of designing and developing the Flash navigation for the homepage. The client had very specific requirements for the Flash navigation that had to be fore filled. As soon as the site is active and online a link will be posted. {feb. 09}
